Music Lessons Update July 2022

Hello there Academy of Music families.  My name is James, and I am the director for the Academy of Music in Georgetown as well as Burlington and Oakville, and the Brampton school of music.  I’m here with a quick video update.  I have a lot to talk about, but I’ll try and keep it brief so that we can all get back to enjoying the summer!

We’ll start off with our recital and student appreciation day.  On august 7th in Oakville and on august 14th in Georgetown we are hosting an outdoor recital and student appreciation day.  We’ll have a tent set up with all the PA equipment and music equipment you need to perform.  You can play your piece.  I will be on hand to cook hamburgers, hot dogs, and veggie burgers for those who would like that.  There’s going to be a bouncy castle and there will be some water games and you know, some of the teachers and staff might be floating around.  We encourage you to participate in that event, it would be great.  If you don’t perform that day that’s totally fine but we still would love to see you come out and chat with other families and the staff and have some lunch on us.

Our Oakville location has been nominated once again for the Readers Choice awards!  We’re adding a link in this newsletter in hopes that you will take a moment and vote for us.  We have won the Oakville Beaver readers choice awards for the last seven years and we’re hoping we do it again and that happens by our wonderful families just simply taking a moment to vote.  So, we very much, we appreciate that!

I’d also like to welcome all the new students that have registered since my last video newsletter.  Since I last timeI reached out to you guys we have seen 106 new students join us at our academies!  Welcome to all those students.  Many of you are starting in the summertime and you will of course continue into the fall.  We’re very excited to have you and just…  welcome!

Our referral draw.

This year we are combining our referral draw with our practice challenge draw.  The reason why that is because the prize is just amazing and we’re very excited!   We were planning on giving away Canada’s Wonderland season passes but it’s kind of late in the season and we didn’t think you would get much value out of season passes at this point.  Instead, we’re giving away a $500 Visa gift card to a lucky family! If you refer a family and they register for lessons not only do we say thank you with a $25 Amazon gift card for each family but we also enter you in this grand prize draw.  So, for all the families, thank you for referring your friends to us and you are entered.  This newsletter will likely have Tanya doing the draw and giving away that gift card.  For the practice challenge folks that are also entered in the draw.  If you do the practice challenge 150 days within the six-month time frame not only do you get a certificate and a medal, and of course, the buttons to go along with that you are also entered in the grand prize draw for the $500 visa gift card.  Good luck everyone!  We’re very excited to draw that.
