PIANO
The Academy of Music in Georgetown offers private piano lessons for children age 4 and up or adults of all ages and levels. In-Home piano lessons available for ages 6 and up.
GUITAR
Our guitar lessons at The Academy of Music in Georgetown combine traditional guitar lessons with the fun of learning what you really want on the guitar.
VOICE
The Academy of Music in Georgetown offers private voice and singing lessons for children age 7 and up or adults of all ages and levels. If you have always wanted to be a better rock, pop, country, jazz, gospel, or R&B singer we have the right vocal teachers for you!
DRUMS (6+)
The Academy of Music in Georgetown offers private drum lessons for children age 6 through to adults of all ages. While it is important to learn proper drum technique it’s also important to have fun in your drum lessons. This is what our professional drum teachers strive for in every lesson.
UKULELE
Our ukulele lessons are great for children and adults of all ages. Whether you want to play the Beatles, or Jason Mraz, our university trained and professional performance teachers will help you reach your musical goals.

We offer private lessons in piano, guitar (acoustic & electric), voice/singing, violin, ukulele, and drums — for children, teens, and adults of all levels, all at our Georgetown location on Guelph St.
Piano and ukulele lessons start as early as age 4, violin from age 5, drums from age 6, and voice/singing from age 7. We often recommend the ukulele as an ideal first instrument for very young children — it's smaller and easier to play, and many skills transfer directly to guitar later on.
Absolutely. We welcome adult beginners and experienced players of all ages. It is never too late to learn an instrument. Our teachers create a relaxed, encouraging environment where you will never feel judged — just supported.
We teach all styles — pop, rock, jazz, classical, country, blues, metal, funk, gospel, and R&B. Because all lessons are private and one-on-one, you get to learn the music you actually love.
Yes! Both in-person and online lessons are available. Contact us and we will find the option that works best for you and your family.
No — you do not need a piano at home when first starting out. Your teacher will guide you on what you will eventually need as you progress through your lessons.
Lessons are $44 for 30 minutes or $88 for 60 minutes (recommended for more advanced students). Music lessons are HST exempt. There are no annual fees, performance fees, or semester minimums.
There is a one-time $25 registration fee due at sign-up. Beyond that, all lessons are month-to-month — no contracts, no semester lock-ins, and no large upfront payments. Sign up is easy and parent-friendly.
Yes! Our staff is available 7 days a week by phone, email, text, or Facebook Messenger to answer your questions and help you get started.
Yes — we hold recitals twice a year and all profits are donated to Food4Kids Halton. Through our various programs, we have raised over $30,000 for the charity. Students also perform at local retirement homes to give back to the community.
The Musical Ladder System® is our exclusive goal-setting program that keeps students motivated through trophies, certificates, and wristbands that celebrate each achievement. It is available only at the Academy of Music.

Sign up is easy and parent-friendly, with helpful staff available seven days a week to serve you. Because we only offer lessons on a month-to-month basis, there are no large upfront payments, no complicated contracts, no annual material or performance fees, and no semester minimums.
