Funfestpiano boy

Funfest is an annual music competition that has been held at various locations across southern Ontario for over 25 years. This competition includes students of all ages and levels from studios across southern Ontario. Funfest is by far the largest competition that the Ontario Music Teachers Guild offers its students. There are categories for all ages and skill levels. This ensures that the students compete against other students at the same age and level that they are. Our goal for Funfest is to give every participant real world playing experience in a fun and exciting way.

The date for Funfest is Sunday July 19, 2015

Student Feedback

“My son Julian has been taking lessons with Academy of Music in Oakville for over 4 years since the age of 4. He began with group piano lessons, moved on to private piano lessons, and a year ago began playing the guitar as well. Thanks to the great teachers there he has developed his skills on both instruments while having fun doing so. He has become an excellent site reader and picks up new songs on both instruments quickly. At the moment he is taking piano with Tom and guitar with Ryan. Julian seems to really enjoy his time with both teachers and is always encouraged to pick fun rock songs to learn on both instruments. James is a great coordinator and loves seeing the progress the students make year after year. I would highly recommend Academy of Music to anyone interested in learning to play an instrument.”

Pet of the Monthbuster
Every month we will feature another pet. Send us pictures of you and your pets and we’ll feature them on Facebook or our newsletter. Because it’s new I’ll get it started.

Buster is 14 years old and is from Burlington On. Jenn and I got him when he was about a month and a half old. He loves coming to the studio when he can, riding on the boat, and singing along when I play the fiddle. James
